Evangelist Catherine L. Carson is an anointed soloist, exceptional preacher, well-prepared speaker, and gifted biblical studies teacher. She is a Licensed Certified Evangelist in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She is a member of Coppin Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has been featured as the cover story for Blessed Gospel Magazine.
She accepted Christ at the early age of nine and began singing in the church choir for the Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church (Trenton, New Jersey). As her love for the Lord grew so did her singing ministry.
She attended Trenton High School (Trenton, New Jersey), and Earlham College (Richmond, Indiana). She performed and ministered in a number of solo projects, church and community workshop choirs.
Cathy has served as soloist for the City of Kokomo, Indiana’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial celebration.She has performed in a number of solo projects well as church and community workshop choirs. During 2006-2008 Catherine sung with the David A. Tobin Gospel Singers productions of “Angels Do Sing” and “The Soul of Winter” on Extensive Tours of Germany.Cathy has a C/D entitled “HYMNS.”
Her matchless preaching, teaching, and singing, skills are utilized quite well!” She has served as a Women's Missionary Society President and Area Chairperson for the Women's Missionary Society of the AME Church. She served as President for the Indiana Annual Conference Minister's Wives, Spouses, Widows and Widowers Organization.
She is employed with the Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo, Indiana. She has served as a Director and Assistant Director of YWCA Friends of Battered Women and Their Children Shelter in Richmond, Indiana, an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor, Health Coordinator for Head Start in Evanston, Illinois, and a Social Service/Attendance Officer for Kokomo Center Township School Corporation.
